CVMA student members advance to semi-finals in national contest at AABP/AASRP Convention

CVMA proudly recognizes its student members who recently advanced to the semi-finals in a national contest at the AABP/AASRP Convention.

Nine CSU-CVMA students recently attended the 56th Annual National AABP/AASRP (American Association of Bovine Practitioners/American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners) Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

These students practiced year-round to compete in the AABP Quiz Bowl Contest, where they went head-to-head with 28 other teams from veterinary schools across the country. Both CSU AABP Quiz Bowl teams advanced and competed in the semi-finals; CSU was the only veterinary program to have two teams in the semi-finals.

Each round in the AABP Quiz Bowl Contest consists of 48 “NAVLE Style” bovine oriented questions (topics including animal health, anatomy, genetics, epidemiology, food safety, and products).

Congratulations to our student members on this big achievement!
