Event Details

Join CVMA for the 2021 CLAW Caucus! The CLAW Caucus refers to the Colorado Legislative Animal Welfare Caucus — each year during the Colorado legislative session, the CLAW Caucus meets to discuss current issues involving animals in the state of Colorado. CLAW includes state legislators who are interested in issues that impact animals; members of the public (including veterinary professionals) are welcome to attend as well.

The intention of the Colorado Legislative Animal Welfare caucus is to sponsor nonpartisan forums and briefings for the purpose of providing legislators with dependable information on animal welfare issues and attempt to build broad coalitions in support of common-sense animal welfare laws. As a sponsor of CLAW, CVMA is proud to bring together a variety of stakeholders to discuss important issues in the state of Colorado, and to play an active role in helping provide education about key issues in the state.

Due to COVID-19, all 2021 CLAW presentations will be conducted online via Zoom. Meeting dates are January 21, February 18, March 18, and April 15.

Interested in joining? RSVP to [email protected] and put “will attend” in the subject line. A Zoom link with instructions will be sent out a day prior to the meeting.
