9PetCheck a huge success helping more than 1,000 dogs and cats get the healthcare they deserve!
Now that the weekend of the 9PetCheck has passed, the CVMA can recap the successes of the event and the media attention that followed it. This event could not be possible without the 73 veterinary clinics that offered 1,047+ wellness exams and rabies vaccinations free of charge to pets of people in need. Thank you to all of the veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff that stepped up to make a difference in the community. This state-wide initiative showed us the need is there. The clients the 9PetCheck helped were truly in need of these services and were profusely thankful to everyone who participated. Check out this video of clients that the 9PetCheck was able to help. Not only were these people's pets in need of basic care, but the veterinarians who examined the dogs and cats were able to eduate them on the importance of regular veterinary care and responsible pet ownership!
Your Association in the Spotlight!
Not only have the participating CVMA members provided a great community service, they also helped to educate the public about the importance of preventive care and public safety. Thanks to 9News and other media outlets across the state, even people who couldn't get an appointment learned about their pets' health.
